I decided to bump this thread since the topic of gun control came up in the first world problems thread.
I propose that the whole gun control debate is moot at this point given the kind of technology that is now affordable to literally anyone.
this is the fgc-9mm
It can be made by anyone with a 3d printer and common products available at hardware stores. You can print yourself a 30 round magazine for it and it's even possible to acquire all the tools and materials separately to make rounds even in countries with total gun control.

Electro chemical machining has to be the most fascinating thing I've learned about all year.
What I think most people don't realize about the fgc-9 is its actually a quality firearm. Provided the builder does a good job. They shoot straight and don't blow up in your hand. Insurgents in Burma have been using them with great success. The cats out of the bag now.

Maybe the hunting rifle marketing angle, for like food, is harder to market to a certain segment of the population than the anti-government/anti-woke /anti-zombie etc. angle.

You really think I'm stupid don't you? I definitely don't already have a PAL license and I certainly didn't take the CORE course and get my fish and wildlife ID.
I have a tikka t3x bolt action in .308 with a Burris optic for hunting.
No way in hell am I gonna 3d print a gun anyways. I don't wanna go to jail for 10 years.

It was more the way you said it. Hurt my feelings you thought I would just acquire a gun in the easiest most illegal way possible and go hunting with it.
3rd from the top is my hunting rifle. The other three are fun to shoot but are only good for making folk music.
