Good program for making and editing beats

Doesn't get much easier than ACID (sony, previously Sonic Foundry). This is more editing and less making. If you wanna make quality beats you need a fairly professional set up.

I have acid but basicly no loops. Do you know how to get more, It says on the package that theres supposed to be over 1000

Acid or fruity loops for beats and mixing…
Cubase is more pro but waaay more flexible and lot more of VST plugins…

Yeah reason is amazing… I've been using it for a long time now w/ Cubase.

If you're a total noob to sequencing and audio, go Fruity loops… It's one of the easiest programs to use I found, think of it as a primer for larger audio apps and making techno(or rap beats if you feel like being extra boring).

You can buy them, which is expensive, but easy. When you bought Acid it should have come with about 1000, but maybe your copy is different.

Your best option for slowly building your library for free are 8 packs

Each week Sony releases 8 free loops from a new CD in the form of an song. You simply download the zip file and place the loops in the file of your choosing. Having the song, allows you to see what is possible with only 8 different loops. Interesting way to spend 15-30 minutes checking out ideas.
