Saw The second stand last night.

Have seen Clutch a bunch of times, always a rocker. MASTODON THOUGH! Unreal live show. Still grinning today!

Oh, and for future reference on pre-drinking…. The Loose Moose on Nelson, half block west of Granville. Small metal bar that tends to cater music to whatever show is going on at the Commodore. Decent prices and always interesting people.

Mastodon was awesome as the headliner. Great setlist, and great energy. Doesn't beat Machine head though.

Ha Ha! Made you look.

Did they play:

A) Only new stuff
B) A mix of old and new
C) Only old stuff

Mix of stuff, but mostly newer stuff, there were some heavy classics played. Clutch killed it IMHO, best live band out there.

Well, well I been movin' down to Florida.
And I'm gonna bowl me a perfect game.
Well I'm gonna cut off my leg down in Florida, child.
And I'm gonna dance one-legged off in the rain.

As most shows tend to go for me, details were somewhat fuzzy.
I do however distinctly remember "Blood and Thunder" in there. Encore perhaps?

That song makes me want to run around and flip cars.

Tread lightly and high road were probably what I remember most.

Are you fucking kidding me? Mastodon is playing tonight? Here?

That was my expression when I found out I missed Dethklok and (I think) Mastadon a few years ago.
