You're old!

and you'll always be older! ;)

you can always make more money but you can never make more time.

I think it's called work for a reason. Or else they probably would have called it fun-time at the fun factory.

You can't beat it. If you're fit and all that it'll just get you a little later. I have buddies who won't acknowlege that they're aging. I think I'll be riding and skiing longer than them because I admit I'm getting a little older and I go a tiny bit mellower. They're going to be taken out by some crazy injury.

Also for Sparkplug: Anyone who rides with Vic on a regular basis can never complain about age, I think that's the rules!

^^so true. My take away from this is next time I'll do the somersault on the soft grass and not a hardwood floor!!!

In practicing your hardwood somersaults, imagine you're doing a cork 360 or a misty flip, rolling over whichever shoulder is more comfortable… this comes naturally as the tuck and roll. Of course, I broke my collarbone in 2007 doing this move, but speed might have been a factor.

ha ha ha
just wait until both knees give you pain just from walking down stairs :(

If you walk on you feet instead of your knees, the pain will go away.

this (assuming we're talking the same Vic)

I used to live down the street from him. If I can be in half that good of shape at half that age I'll be happy.

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.

Turning 36 next week and I feel as good as I did when I was in highschool. The falls don't hurt anymore than they used to…unfortunately I now know what they will feel like in advance!

He's a great inspiration and I kill myself trying to keep up with him on the climbs. It's great training and when I think I'm doing well, I realize that he's just keeping me company. I'm lucky to have a girlfriend in her 60s who's also super athletic and active. She rips the tech downhill and is a great skier too! So no, I'm not complaining and I know that age is not an excuse!

Damn! I got nothing left.

Please let me demonstrate the ride around; really it's no trouble.

I do somersaults every ride, it keeps me limber

i can vouch for dave's claim of 'somersaults every ride', but i have to disagree with the limber part.

my favourite part about getting old? better bruises.

I'm just under a month from my 25th birthday, and someone pointed out a patch of grey today. :(. Depression ensues.

9 months shy of 50. Falling doesn't hurt more than it used to. Recovering takes longer though.
