Carrying 300-400lb granite slabs between two people up stairs has made me hurt something fierce.

I'm just under a month from my 25th birthday, and someone pointed out a patch of grey today. :(. Depression ensues.

…at least you've still got hair to go grey…

9 months shy of 50. Falling doesn't hurt more than it used to. Recovering takes longer though.

Much, much longer (if you recover at all).

but are the two people between the 300-400lb granite slabs world champions? and are they riding the tires that you designed? because that would probably trump the 'hurt something fierce' part….

Yeah WTF, the evolutionary advantage this engenders is beyond me.

Please let me demonstrate the ride around; really it's no trouble.

yeah, I spend from age 20-30 trying to get as big as I could, 30-40 kinda staying the same and from 40 to now trying to get my weight down

yeah I figure its 30ish OR the time when job/career/marriage/impending parenthood AND it all get to be TOO much …weight that is

or maybe if you were pretty active you can hold it off to the 40's as your view of life starts to slow a little

last week for apres-ski there was an 80th B-day celebration at the ski hill bar for this local guy Rod ,he was playing harmonica with one hand and 2stepping with a young woman (40 or 50 is young when you are 80) which would entirely blow away the myth that men can't multi-task

Rod is a pretty good intermediate skier ,still pretty spry at 80 and will pull out the harp in a second

yeah - but that's adding muscle mass when you're young and losing fat when you're old.

at any age it's good to strength train to add muscle mass, doesn't matter if you're 18 or 80.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.
