Taking a break off the bike and we've landed an all-expenses paid trip to Mexico for the next 6 weeks. Already been out kitesurfing 3 out of 5 days. Woo!!
La Ventana? I'll be there in 6 days! :)

Xy9ine, that is what I am talking about!
In other news, repairs to the Xterra cost $1k less than I was planning for today, calling that a win!
Heading down to Finale Ligure in northern Italy on Dec 25, returning on Jan 1. Prepped my VW Touran so I can sleep in it, bike on a rack, got a new sleeping bag (Carinthia Brenta) and some nice Merino gear as well, not to mention an entry-level DSLR (Canon 1300 d) to get some decent images finally.
SO looking forward to this. Always wanted to go down there for some riding.
Feels that life is on an upswing.

Awesome! Eat lots of panettone :)
Never thought about heading south for Christmas, always went to the snow. Great idea!
You should go through Torino and watch a real soccer team.. ;)

Great shout but unfortunately Serie A takes a winter break. Soft Italians ;)
I went skiing tonite-first time in 2 years. Tweaked my knee, though.

Hey, they are also religious, unlike the druids up north that play on boxing day…

I went snowboarding for the first time in 10 yrs last week.. went WAY better than I expected.. other than tweaking my head.. hard. Invested in a helmet and I'm addicted again. Planned to work over the holidays.. new plan is to ride everyday instead. ð
Anyone who wants to go message me.. or yell if you you pass over me on the lifts.. I'm the one squealing and giggling constantly.
ride a horse! 1200 pounds of raw muscle, power, grace, and sweat between your legs…
but riding bikes is still fun!

Haha. Thats true :D
Finale Ligure is awesome. Awesome. Weather is great, too. Around 10-15 deg C. Soo nice. And mire or less empty of large crowds.
Thanks to Strava I now know that Wyn Masters is almost three minutes faster on one segment than I am.
I need to ride more and brake less.

Sound grand bud enjoy the ride.
The raw, primitive, unrefined trails that see little to no maintenance are the kinds of trails that really build skill. What kind of skills do you learn riding a trail that was made by a machine, groomed to perfection and void of any rocks, roots or other obstacles that could send you careening over the handlebars?

Ha! Rode the segment again in 1:30. Two minutes and 20 seconds faster.
