What do you guys think of this?

I'm genuinely interested to hear what the GMO defenders have to say and am open to the possibility that this article is full of shit because almost everything you read on the internet is full of shit on some level. I've pretty much made up my mind a long time ago that I don't want to eat food that has been modified to allow the use of even more herbicide, but I'd like to hear from others what they think.

Hahaha … next time, read the whole thread. That French study has been completely discredited and debunked, one of the worst examples of bad science posing as honest research.
"In my opinion, the methods, stats and reporting of results are all well below the standard I would expect in a rigorous study to be honest I am surprised it was accepted for publication." - Prof David Spiegelhalter, Winton Professor of the Public Understanding Of Risk, University of Cambridge
"The full data set has not been made available, but the findings do not contradict previous findings that genetic modification itself is a neutral technology, with no inherent health or environmental risks." - Dr Wendy Harwood, senior scientist, John Innes Centre
"Like most of the GM debate, this work has very little to do with GM. The authors of the paper do not suggest that the effects are caused by genetic modification" - Prof Ottoline Leyser, Associate Director of the Sainsbury Laboratory, University of Cambridge
"No food intake data is provided or growth data. This strain of rat is very prone to mammary tumours particularly when food intake is not restricted." - Prof Tom Sanders, Head of the Nutritional Sciences Research Division, Kings College London
"The first thing that leaps to my mind is why has nothing emerged from epidemiological studies in the countries where so much GM has been in the food chain for so long? If the effects are as big as purported, and if the work really is relevant to humans, why arent the North Americans dropping like flies?! - Prof Mark Tester, Research Professor, Australian Centre for Plant Functional Genomics, University of Adelaide

Interesting. Kinda thought it would be debunked. Still not interested in having my food modified so it can be doused in herbicide though, even if I don't have boobs growing from my neck.
the walk in cooler is 8 by 5. it is going to be for hanging and ageing game in the hunting season, and in the summer for veggies and making cheese. Im almost done it now. it is made with 2 by 4 walls. r14 roxul inside the walls and 2 inch rigid foam for a total of r24. then plywood inside with a epoxy for water. and osb for the outside. It is powered with a 10000 btu air conditioner, u use a device called a cool bot. it tricks the cooler into lowering the temp to the mid to low 30's. but does not freeze the coils as it has a small wire that heats the coils to keep them from freezing and building ice. It is a great way to get a walk in for pretty cheap and it also uses less energy then a large commercial cooler.

Relevant; Jian Ghomeshi interviewing Mark Lynas - start at 18:29 minutes.
was one of the most vocal representatives of the anti-GMO movement of the 1990s, he was part of the movement that introduced the term frankenfood into our consciousness… you can thank Mark for at least kick starting this movement.
He later apologized for this. The interview explains why he thinks doing this is a counter-productive path. Video of the speech during which he does this…
