actualy I got a ugly pair of the thin soled 1$ yellow ones i use in the shower
a couple of years ago I took em on a minimalist 3 nite trip in WW kayaks and they just didnt have enough sole or support,I can't see how people wear these things on a daily basis
that and we got flack from loggers in a seedy bar on the way home

i have them as well - kintec footlabs ftw! they are seriously the most comfortable flipflops i've ever worn, and they look nice.
I tried on FFF (fucking flip flops) this summer for the first time ever. Either I have webbed feet or I'm just a pussy or both, but I couldn't even handle 5 minutes of wearing them.

the keens are good for that ,also any teva like sandal with 1/2 an inch of sole infront of the end of your toes
I think I'll take Lady G's advice and hit up Robson. I'll probably be able to score a sweet deal on something nice as it's the end of summer. Fortunately I wear them year-round.

at least they're $80 for a reason other then the brand that they are. the sole insoles are 40 - 50 bucks by them selves. And in the end you get a product that is good for your feet.
On the other hand, for some of the 'name brand' flip-flops, $40 - 50 + gets you foam, bamboo and some leather found on $20 ones, with the benifit of a nice name brand.

I have fallen arches on my feet so any type of footwear I wear really should have good arch support. Even so, I used to always buy the super cheap flip-flops anyway and could only wear them for walking short distances. Forget about trying to get anywhere in a hurry in them!
When I first heard about the Sole sandals I went to Kintec Footlabs to get a pair (with the Brocard 10[HTML_REMOVED]#37; discount ;)) but they don't make the womens ones in my size. They sold me a comparable sandal made by Montrail for $10 less which also has the really good arch support and very thick supportive soles:

At first, I also had a hard time with the idea of "expensive" flip-flops. Until I realised that these are really more like sport sandals but in flip flop form. And how much are people willing to pay for sport sandals without a second thought?
The arch support and heel beds are amazing on these things and they are incredibly supportive for hours of walking, standing and even light running is comfortable in them.

that's why everything i buy has HUGE brand names, so whenever anyone looks at what i'm wearing, they know i'm cool.
ps….i wear cheap 7 dollar flip flops i got at mec on clearance for 7 dollars….they don't hurt my feet, but i've tried on the sole ones, and they are sooooo nice!
