surely i cannot be the only person on the planet , upon hearing that a world cup had been awarded to qatar , immediately thought " i wonder how much they paid to get that event ? "

it's laughable that blatter wants to be the one to see fifa through these dark times .

FIFA is under a lot of pressure to have the World Cup staged in continents other than Europe and South America. It's only been in Africa once. Having it on Qatar isn't that unexpected, except for the climate.

FIFA is under a lot of pressure to have the World Cup staged in continents other than Europe and South America. It's only been in Africa once. Having it on Qatar isn't that unexpected, except for the climate.

Morally it was a worse choice than Beijing for the Olympics.

in general i have zero respect for the professional game of soccer, it has no integrity.
