Just had my first $7.99 Canadian beers (Cariboo Honey and Bowen Cream)in almost a year, as I've been exclusively drinking $7.99 US beer (Deschutes Obsidian, Red Hook ESB, Fat Tire etc)..
I've been so spoilt :(
Back over on Tuesday, so time to replenish the fridge and growler

Sigh.

It is amazing how good an $8 six pack is in the States.

Tallcans are always on sale 1.99 it seems

at the risk of sounding totally clueless, where do you get them for 1.99?

at the risk of sounding like a condescending wiener, the u-brew route seems pretty appealing to get good cheap beer.

i sigh as well. and $3 bombers. and great selections in grocery stores (even some gas stations have some decent craft content). and wine is typically 1/2 price… it's the one aspect of the us i'm jealous of.

BC Liquor Stores always has some sort of tall can on sale.

This is how Tall Cans on Cypress got it's name. Best value for money going.

You can pick up tallcans of Tree Brewing Kelowna Pilsner at the BCL. It's actually pretty good stuff, especially for $2.

so my go-to cheap beer just got even cheaper. If you look under the bottlecap there seems to be about a 1 in 3 chance of winning another beer!

Holy shit my internet is disconnected for 6 days and this thread is still alive!

Well, the local BCL had tall-cans of Sapporo on for $1.79 so I picked up six of those, good bang for the buck and the 1.5 cans, well it's about perfect after a long day working in the sun
