A good fully loaded Donair slays any fast food  burger I have had in BC.

Or does it not count because it's not drive thru?

Mmmmm.... Donair for some reason is a travel treat for me.  I should change that.   Anyone got recommends in N Van?

Hands down the best döner you can get anywhere is in kreuzberg in Berlin. My beef with donairs here in North America is that sweet sauce they dump on it. If anyone knows a proper Donair I'm also interested in that hunt. Especially since my ship might be in dry dock in January.

Donair Dude in Cap Mall is surprisingly good for a mall food court.

Yummy Donair across from Cap Mall would be the best one IMO.

Don't think you will find the euro version here. Agreed the ones I have had there are so good, dunno why they can't nail it here. A donair after a few pints in the pub in the UK .... so good.

Had donairs at Johnny K's in Halifax, Nova Scotia summer of 2019 & I didn't like it as much as the ones you can get in the lower mainland. It was too sloppy & didn't taste as good. I would have thought they'd do donairs right in Nova Scotia.

Oddly enough, I have yet to find a good donair in North Van.  I used to go to a place on Oak & 16th.  It was really good but I havent been in a long time.

when you consider its like 8 bucks for an a n w burger.. I really cant comment on how an extra dollar more causes your ass to get chapped, when its a local establishment with local ingredients.

I had no idea an A&W burger was $8. Who drops $8 on a fast food burger? If thats how much A&W costs, then cooks is fine I guess. When my wife and I eat at cooks we end up spending $50 and it barely satisfies. Personally, I like gladstone better. They have way better options and gladstone beer.

Most donairs in Halifax are consumed between 2-3AM by people who are very inebriated, so quality isn't a real concern.  Grease & donair sauce dripping off your elbow while standing at Pizza Corner is just part of the experience.

I really, really, miss donair oven subs from Greco on the east coast.
