aren't you essentially looking for an unrelated, easy first year course?

i was hoping for something with a bit of flare.

not engl, psyc, math, biol, chem, phys, etc 101

and there are only maybe 30 UBC courses on the site

no econ suggestions pleaseee!!!!

I've already taken mirco, macro, environmental, and forestry economics

Aka the most boring ones of them all.

Take an economics that's related to international trade or finance. It'll give you some good insight into the currency wars and similar economic news.

Otherwise, take a psychology class.

SFU has a kinesiology course that consists mostly of working out. I hear that its fun. See if UBC has something like that.

I get the feeling they aren't teaching the economic students reading comprehension. Maybe that is the problem with the economy.

UNBC has a Natural Resources and Env. Management Field Skills class. You wander around in the woods and learn to use a compass and map, gps, build a snow fort, etc. I guess you are in forestry so you know all this crap or likely took the class already.

Take a history class if you can. WWII history or history of film or history of African exploration.

can't get enough of that sodium benzoate…

That's a course only available at Cap college/ university.
Post said it needed to be from UBC plus it has prerequisites that he most likely wouldn't have anyway.

DO not take history of film unless you're down for watching shitty black and white silent movies from the b[HTML_REMOVED]w silent film era. Probably the dumbest, most boring course I've ever taken. Another one I forgot was American history from WW2 to present, super interesting course since I'm a big ww2/cold war guy.

If they have it - some type of law course.

Soooo much interesting stuff in there. Plus you get to debate ideas in an open environment where politics [HTML_REMOVED] religion (hopefully) take a back seat.

The first year geog courses are pretty damn easy too and parallel some of the forestry courses (ie. agro 244) already required.

I highly recommend Oceanography. It was a great extra credit for me… and easy! 99% mark - nice for the GPA; and the topics were interesting.
