"You're essentially dangling in front of the person who's supposed to be investigating the chaos swirling around you, and perhaps you, you're basically saying, 'If you will assure me that I'm not going to be under investigation, then maybe I'll keep you on. We'll see what happens.' It's essentially the language of bribery. It's the language of the underworld, of racketeering, not the language of a president who is supposed to be enforcing the rule of law," - Harvard constitutional law professor Laurence Tribe

But that is not really anything new, and was to be expected right from the start of his election campaign.

I am really curious as to how this is going to end.

How can this not be the beginning of the end for Trump?  This is not rhetorical, I am sure there is some way he can slither through this and his supporters will cheer for him because he beat back the establishment that just wants to see him fall because MAGA, liberal tears and what not.

This ^^ , I think pretty much anybody reading this thread would not have voted for Trump but his supporters in America think this is how things should work when Trump is "draining the swamp" never mind that he isn't really getting anything done, so its going to take Trump breaking Laws to get his ass turfed, he probably already has but it has yet to be proven

Um, I think his breach of the emoluments clause is pretty clear plus there was some recent thing in which he dangled a favour to a foreign country in which he had holdings or owed or something.

I agree with you he has done lots of impeachable shit but its a long way to impeachment and he still enjoys support from the GOP and the Americans who are not smart

"If you are following the daily flood of events as reported by the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN — and yes, CBC — then you are hearing a story of serial catastrophe and gross incompetence in the White House, mixed with the potential venality of the president and his family and the possibility of impeachable offences he might have committed to thwart the administration of justice.

But if you are getting your information from Fox News, Breitbart.com, TheGatewayPundit.com, or the Twitter feeds of Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter and others, you are getting a different story. You're hearing that "the deep state" of entrenched special interests is trying to depose an elected president in order to protect its wealth and power from his determination to "drain the swamp."

Even Coulter is turning away from Trump .... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/coulter-disappointment-donald-trump_us_591a4014e4b07d5f6ba578e4

And Faux is reporting it, so it must be true ... http://insider.foxnews.com/2017/05/15/ann-coulter-worried-about-president-trump-administration-not-fulfilling-campaign-promises

When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity.

When many people suffer from a delusion, it is called religion.

If the right has turned and the not smart Americans are now reading this kind of coverage ... its a good thing

I read a couple of on-line articals by the author who ghost wrote Trump's book ( trump did almost nothing on the book) and someone who worked for him running a casino, they say what is going on now in the white house does not suprise them

Fox News's Hannity and Carlson are doing non stop defending of Trump.  They are comedy at its best.  Alt-left, shadow government, left wing media - it doesn't stop.

I think German foreign minister Sigmar Gabriel has tried to cool it down a little. "It is inappropriate that we are now communicating with each other between a beer tent & twitter".

Thread killer

Gold Jerry, Gold!

This guy really hasn't disappointed.  Not going to lie, I thought for sure he'd be reigned in, but he has fucking resisted like the pants on head wearing mother fucker he is.

To think, Canada is so close to getting some fucker like this.  Our "Liberal" government has managed to get to levels dreamed of by lego-head and no one has noticed.

Invest in educating our young,  because our current collective decision making is embarrassing.
