Yup, that's Momentum, the Vancouver watch company I mentioned. They seem to have given up on the "St. Moritz" branding recently. Low cost good quality watches that you'll actually be able to get serviced, wow.

this with a brown leather band is really nice.

To me, these watches are just as ugly as some of the watches in this thread….but these are on sale for 90% off. Invicta watches for $70

^^^ yeah I was going to use my cell as an alarm clock up at Burnie hut and I learned that as soon as you lose cell there is no clock [HTML_REMOVED] no alarm but it didnt matter cuz my room was right below the kitchen and the cook woke me up every day at 5:30 am making breaky

???? My iphone clock works everywhere, and as long as I shut down unused apps, my phone
battery will last a couple days at least.

I have an LG banter which is a pretty decent working low end phone and the battery lasts forever but if it doesn't get a signal it doesn't know what the time is …no alarm

I have a Suunto too. It may not be pretty but 1sec sample rate for depth, user set depth alarm
plug computer plug-in to see the days dive profiles make it a pretty good low end freedive
computer/watch. I've had if for 10 or so years now.

well yours is better than my Sunnto which is sitting in a drawer somewhere cuz I couldn't even quickly dunk my hand in a stream without water getting inside, it would even get wet inside on wet ski days, it was too big [HTML_REMOVED] looks not great IMO, hell even the original pathfinder I had 20yrs ago outperformed the Sunnto …IME

Whereas the casio is not too big,,looks pretty good IMO, is only 175$ with a the rubber strap or 225$ in Ti, is solar powered so no battery issues or fuckups, sets the exact time itself by communicating with a satelite and it stays dry so IME … casio pathfinder recommmended over a suunto

this is fun - digital analog ~$15k:

or one of these for ~1/4mil:

i don't quite get the justification of pricing on stuff like the pateks - ie, a basic mechanism like this for $685K. guess i'd rather maximize my rad tech for the buck.

on the sane end of the price scale (really, spending serious $$ on something as superfluous as a watch is just silly), i just picked this up. relatively cheap, burly (i tend to destroy gadgets), but fun:

Anyone like Shinolas? I like the look, but I don't think they're great value at ~700 USD.

The diamonds aren't nearly as ostentatious looking when you see it on the wrist, that photo really highlights them. It's not not flashy, but it's subdued enough that it's ok to wear around… it's the nicest watch I'll ever own for under 100 dollars, and since my Fiancee just said yes to me while I was wearing it, now I can't get rid of it. Really, who wins a 12 000 dollar watch in the morning and gets engaged that night? Sure, I can sell it and get a bike, or get the cash from the ring back, or put it towards our house. I could also give it to my son we don't yet have and tell him its the watch I wore when I proposed to his mom.

Congrats go-t

That's the problem with cities, they're refuges for the weak, the fish that didn't evolve.

I don't want to google this - sounds like a thing that NSMB will be better at.

She might be marrying you for your watch!
