Le Gavroche. Nice, classic French food and pairing your menu with wine is reasonable. $200 for 5 course meal, wine, tip and taxes when we went in November.

Check this place out.

LeFraiche

If you go reserve one of the tables on the south central side window of the restaurant as the view is something else and the food and service go hand in hand. Definitely will not go wrong here.

If it's a nice day, do the revolving restaurant on Robson. The view is impressive.

Firehall, Manzinitto's, or that steak house (name…?) by Departure Bay Road… followed by the corner lounge for drinks. /debate.

Stop fooling yourself. There's no good food in Nanaimo. Unless you count chain restaurants and mall food.
