I've started getting a bit further into death metal recently. Just came across this band and they're too rad not to share.
They have a real Individual Thought Patterns or Symbolic era Death feel to them. While the rasp-heavy, Schuldiner-esque vocals may not be everyone's cup of tea, they're worth giving a chance if you're into metal.

I've got mixed feelings about a lot of the modern techy death metal (a lot is way too much of a guitar-proficiency dick measuring competition), but I'll be damned if this Beyond Creation track doesn't keep me coming back over and over:

they're derided by the tr00 / necro purists as hipster black metal, but i like them. got a bit of shoegaze going on that works for me.
