Bring your wallet! Those things go for good money these days. I wonder if anyone ever did Syncro a Mk1…a lot of Mk2 parts fit and there were Syncro Mk2 Golfs in Europe…
cool smallish pickups (global)
I still want to stuff a big turbo AWD drivetrain into a 1st gen VW Golf/Caddy pickup. Would be sillyfun.
Looks like a delorean truck. You can have my k04 turbo once I upgrade but I need my drivetrain.

If I remember correctly Shawn at momentum motorsports built one in the late 90's. I know for sure he did an mk2 g60 syncro. He was also the first to stuff a vr6 into an mk1. And a 400 hp turbo vr6 beetle. First shake down run with that one he came back with a broken front bumper, all he said was ' needs bigger brakes'. He did some cool/crazy stuff.
I heard RPI stuffed a tricked out vr6 into a Mk1 (mid '90's I think), drove it for a bit and found it got really … flexy.
Apparently it was pulling the body apart everywhere it was tack welded so the ran solid beads everywhere and got her going again. I bet those were scary…power/weight ratio was probably off the charts.
Yeah Shawn used to work at rpi then went off on his own and did the mk1 vr6 soon after. Rpi got word he was doing it and tried but he completed his first. I wish I still had my 2.0l 16v mk1.
I miss these.
Yes. Not the best on gas but the best trucks, and easy to work on.
Being cheap is OK. Being a clueless sanctimonious condescending douchebag is just Vlad's MO.

Back when they did a nice interior. One day I'll build a good one with a 1uzfe and 5spd.
to bad the 3.0l was junk with it,s headgasket issues , mine is a 01 with a 2.7l and 370K fun little truck rides like a tank though

I like the way you think…
And ruin the handling.
Still, it's North America, presentation over content every time.

I get excited every time I see one of these cruising around. Co-worker just ordered one for himself. They go for 80K AUD before the goodies.

Awsome, a turbo supra motor? Probably didn't just bolt in eh lol.
yeah you can get motor mount kits, mine are custom solid mounts. if you leave the twin turbos on you need to make some minor adjustments to the firewall with a sledge hammer and the radiator is a tight fit. i have more horsepowers on the way too.
Fuck yeah!
Ha Ha! Made you look.
Drift King in the making!
