May have already been gone over. Something that bothers me somewhat, is as we are starting to see a possibility of provincial mandates rolling back, like Dr Bonnie eluded to back in December, is that the convoy folks will take credit for that. This will likely embolden them to push this anti government movement further. What will come next? What will be the end game for them? Will life just go back to normal, whatever that is, and all be forgiven? I have a hard time believing that.

I spend probably too much time lurking in far right online spaces and one sentiment that I keep seeing pop up is the desire to start killing people on the other side of the political fence. The only thing stopping them now is they're not allowed but they think they will be at some point.
Their words not mine.

It's already happened. I'm sure some scientist will calculate how many extra people died because of the anti-vaxxers. Now they killed people on both sides of the political fence, but nobody is accusing them of being particularly smart. Besides FREEDOM!!!!

Looks like that desire might not be limited to those on the far right:

Got me, fuck.
Prior to the protest, Vancouver Mayor Kennedy Stewart had a clear message for the convoy.
“As the Mayor of a city with an over 95 per cent vaccination rate, my message to the convoy is this: Vancouver doesn’t want you here. Make your point and then go home.”
👍
As a Fraser valley resident, you guys in the city can have them.
Reports coming that the police in Ottawa are going to start ticketing and towing. If so, this could be interesting.
Good luck with that.

Found this to be an apt take on the situation and agree that this is no longer and expression of ideas and is an extorsion.

Yes. Maybe. No.
The pearl clutching thing is funny considering you're supposed to be a smart guy, but maybe you're just not very observant and are using this as a weak point to pick at something you don't like. Considering where these/this discussions are at his comments don't help and XXX'er clearly has a bone to pick. I'd be willing to be more generous with you if your attitude towards those who don't think exactly like you wasn't so shitty.
Please forum daddy, be generous with me. I ache for your approval.
For all your talk about wanting to improve discourse on the Forums, you're clearly the common denominator in the most toxic, abusive exchanges here.
That list is no suprise cuz thats how they dealt with the Wetsuet en out in the middle of nowhere on their own territory dogs, snipers, hell of a copters,
but you know it was different cuz there was a pipline they wanted to build and those people were brown
Now we got an impasse situ where 3 sheet's boyfriends won't go home, breaking laws, won't leave when asked nicely
The police didnt wana do it but they will have to man up and do pretty much the list I posted,
they gotta do their jobs so this is how its really going to go down
if the Ottawa police were unsure what to do they could have just asked the Wetsuet en
Videos from 2019 show Freedom Convoy organiser Pat King discussing a plot for a "depopulation of the Caucasian race… the ones with the strongest bloodlines".
/\There's the people under this. Covered with a thin vaneer of anti-vaccine protesting.

While Trudeau has dismissed the convoy, right-wing politicians in the U.S. including Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton have applauded the protest.
Right-wing commentators such as Mike Huckabee, Glenn Beck, and Ben Shapiro have urged their followers to support the convoy, directing audience members to donate to the organizers.
Multiple crowdfunding campaigns have garnered millions of dollars for the convoy, including $8 million in donations that were raised using GoFundMe before the platform shut down the fundraiser last week, saying the protest had become an "occupation" rather than a peaceful demonstration and violated the company's terms of service.
After Paxton, DeSantis, and other supporters criticized GoFundMe for its decision, GiveSendGo—which previously raised money for Kyle Rittenhouse's legal defense team—created a new fundraiser which has so far collected more than $2 million, with a goal of raising $16 million.
