I used my car as example of a car that I think looks good as a coupe and not so good as a roadster.

The car came stock with a turbo, bulletproof 5 speed, stainless exhaust, pirellis on 17's, haldex AWD, vented 12" rotors, xenon's etc etc etc.

A roof adds stiffness to the car's design , performance wise taking the top off a car either with a cutoff disc in a chain saw OR even if the car was designed to be a convertible compromises the structure, SO convertibles need to be designed with extra bracing SO they are heavier and more flexi than a hardtop which are all things to consider if the performance is important
