How long of a process is the moka pot and what's the difference?
I've been using a bodum for the last few years, you've peaked my curiousity.
Stronger darker richer coffee; with the Moka pot I can make a pretty good double americano which rivals most cafe's in town (and that's saying alot). The Moka pot doesn't make true espresso but if you're careful it's close enough as far as I'm concerned.
Time wise it's a about on par with the Bodum, maybe faster if I boil the water first (which does make a better cup but isn't necessary). There's a little more fiddle-fucking around compared to the Bodum, which can be frustrating first thing in the morning but once you get a routine down it's not a big deal.
Hardest thing to get used to is drinking less volume of coffee in the morning. I went from 5 cups of strong Bodum coffee (strong to the point that most visitors couldn't drink it) down to two or three double shots a day.
