and that’s the reason for not having kids. not producing anymore tires for the fire pit.
Climate Change - so I'm starting to panic a bit
OK, I meant the tires of the car we are driving were on fire, not that the pit was filled with flaming tires. Now the burning tires are our kids? I have never had an analogy go so wrong.
Flaming tyre is teh human race. Time to end ourselves.

Good idea. You start.
Not me. I am not going down without a fight.
Canada's Minister of Environment and Climate Change Jonathan Wilkinson attracted fury and ridicule when he said Monday—just hours after the United Nations warned in no uncertain terms that continuing to burn fossil fuels will result in catastrophic consequences—that the country needs to secure more revenue from the Trans Mountain pipeline to achieve its long-term decarbonization goals.

Have no fear. McKenna is flying around Canada this summer to swim in every big lake and ocean. 🤡🤦♀️
Everbody dumping on the transportation sector and rightly so but this angle gets no where near the press it deserves.
We Need to Urgently Regulate Global Meat and Dairy Companies to Cut Methane and Avoid Climate Breakdown
The science is clear: Regulating global meat and dairy companies, making the cost of business as usual untenable and supporting a transition toward agroecological systems of food production are critical if we hope to stem climate chaos.

It's started, the decline of our comfy western lifestyle of excess, and will probably lead to food scarcity for most people. This may seem a good thing in light of tungsten's link up there, but it bodes poorly for all levels of farming.

A cattle-class oceanic flight has the carbon cost of driving a twin turbo charged, 600HP 8-cylinder German SUV for 15,000km.
Hope those of you who worry about climate change enjoy those trips.

That's why I made the choice of not being a travel "fan" ages ago. Plus, it also helps me feel better about those backyard tire fires I like to enjoy every now and then.

I recently read that 30% of US farms are owned by non farmer land lords and I dont think that touched on the corporate purchase's and Gates/Bezos/China buying up farms or pork producers either. I think it bodes worse of us consumers who like to eat in general. Food prices in the US have risen a fair bit in the past year (dont have the # or % handy, dont want to misquote it either).
