I'm not worried so much about a flaming landscape, but the loss of agrarian lands and changes to our water supply.

Yes, that is what worries me as well.  I think we are situated well in this regard, but what will this do to the world order.  At the end of the day, we might be more worried about war than the rising oceans.

You gotta' keep trying. It's the only moral way to proceed.

. But what will that tipping point be?

Extinction

Will humans be extinct by 2026?

http://arctic-news.blogspot.com/

We are already 4 years into this 10-year prediction.  I am thinking there will still likely be humans in 2026.

Sounds like the title of a song by a Canadian rapper

Mind you I just checked out Wap so that may have influenced my thinking on that one

What'you god? No one, including you, has any idea how fast this process could actually snowball. 'specially if the methane burps.

Food riots by 2026.

True, but humans can adapt pretty well so extinction that fast seems unlikely even if we hit a tipping point. Food riots maybe.

From what I can tell the Clathrate Gun Theory is not considered very like to come to pass, but who knows.  Those tipping points are very hard to predict.

Hot climate areas clear out and all the environmental disaster/ climate refugees head north. Going to be some strange times.

I think once we see large cities become unlivable shit will hit the fan.  I just can't see how some American cities like Phoenix or Vegas will be able to manage at the rate they are draining the Colorado River.

I was shocked how low the Colorado river was when we were Moab in May a few years back. Not good

Going, Going ... Gone: Greenland’s Melting Ice Sheet Passed a Point of No Return in the Early 2000s

A new study finds that the accelerating retreat and thinning of Greenland’s glaciers that began 20 year ago is speeding the ice sheet toward total meltdown.

Endura cycling apparel has planted a load of trees. Good on them.

https://cyclingindustry.news/trees-planted-endura/

Got me thinking, how much difference does it make collectively for us to all plant trees on our own property?

Something I don't recall hearing much about. I've planted a pile lately, can't speak to the O2 production, but the difference in sound levels and amount of wildlife has been surprising.

From what I remember from school, if everyone who had a yard in a city planted a bit more than overall city temperatures decrease, oxygen levels rise, pollution goes down and wildlife populations (endemic and transitory) go up, noticeably and significantly.

As you’ve noticed, the hyper local effects are significant as well, and therein lies the key to getting folks to plant IMO.

Dig up your lawns!

Aqua and Aero ponic's yo.
