You don't seem to appreciate how important 30-45 days can be when trying to corall a highly virulent virus that transmits via human to human contact.

There's still no proof it even originated in China. All we know for certain is they were the first ones to spot it.

As more information comes to light the lab Wuhan lab leak theory is gaining more traction. See  tungsten's post in the covid thread. And again, if you have some knowledge about viruses, it's easy to spot where this started. If what happened vin Virginia was in fact covid, there would have been a far bigger increase in respiratory illness over the following months.

You're looking for info to disprove something you don't like instead of looking at all info and then forming an opinion based on the info itself.

Look at all these paid actors

If you married someone from Kentucky you'd be non-stop pumping out, "STOP THE STEAL" messages.

Keep beating the war drum. You'll likely get what you want soon. Oceans of Chinese blood and my wife in an internment camp.

You're really naive if you think the NSA doesn't do the exact same thing with hacking competitions in the US. I seem to recall unidentified federal agents in portland grabbing people off the street last year. The fact we still do business with them is beyond comprehension. If I was a brainwashed North Korean I would probably think those people were executed shortly after. If your entire perception is off base it's easy to assume a lot of shit.

I'd rather do business with a country that respects intellectual property and patents.  Something that super-luxury brands seem to grasp; yet governments seemingly can't.

Seems like Huawei is a result of Nortel spying.

Are you saying that calling out China's treatment of the Uighurs will lead to war? If all is good there Xi can just call in some UN observers and tell them they are free to travel, speak to whomever without anyone watching over them and see for themselves. Xi seems to believe that they can do whatever he wants and still be part of the global economy without consequences. That is not how it works.

Why not? That's what the "west"'s been doing, like, forever.

Including your country.

Speaking of which...

"In 1941, the Nazis built a concentration camp/ghetto in the Czech town of Terezin. They named the camp “Theresienstadt.” The Nazis gave nominal control to a Jewish council and allowed a certain level of cultural activity. Nonetheless, prisoners struggled to survive; the Nazis sent most inmates to other camps, where they were murdered. Approximately 150,000 people came to Theresienstadt; less than 20,000 survived the war."

So it is terrible when the west does it, but gives Russia and China all the cover they need to do it themselves. Couldn't the west just say it's all good because the Romans started it? What makes you any different than the people that made excuses for the residential schools?

The fact is that most countries harbour a dark past but we are trying to deal with it as openly as possible and nobody is getting hauled off to jail for going online and criticizing our government for the treatment of natives.

No what I'm saying is the west is fabricating shit to manufacture popular consent for a war.

And China doesn't care about the "global economy" (translation: western economy). They're creating their own global economy by uplifting various countries we've been shitting on for decades via the new silk road project.

The west is about to get left behind and collapse under the weight of it's own arrogance.
