bars by definition are loud. sounds to me like you want a pub

isnt it the opposite?

a pub is usually full of loud sport fans and drunks whereas a traditional bar is quiet and filled with smart looking people sipping :martini:s

I find pubs tend to have more of those live bands playing which I can't stand.

I just find it boring and pointless

yeah grinding on some hottie is boring and pointless.

Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

they also call me "balloon"

Your avatar was MADE for that response

Why go to a club for a 4 hour tease with some dumb broad who is probably alot uglier in the sunlight without all the make up? Cuz while thats goin down, a girl in the bookstore across the street secretly has no panties on under her knee high dress because she is too shy (see: smart) to hang out in the meat locker you call a bar or pub. Im gonna go talk to her and get alot further than most will at a bar with their flat bill caps and g-shock watches. I'll feel alot better about myself in the morning when she is cooking me some eggs too. Mostly because she will probably know how to cook.

thinkin bout bikes

I like the bar is the Wedgewood Hotel but it's not really a student bar.

Easy there buzz killington. Hate live music? Bet you hate fun aswell, but who can blame you, with those damn kids and their rock and roll music and their baggy pants and SHAVE THOSE SIDEBURNS!

Sidebar I went to the kingston on saturday which was something like geogia and richards or ya? Older crowd in the basement but had a grand old time regardless

Alibi room. Chill yet funky atmosphere, best beer selection in the province. nigel was voted best bc bartender by northwest brewing news (beergeek zine). unpretentious and just generally awesome. Again, very beer oriented.

^^ tried to get into the Alibi room on Friday eve.. no luck, wait time was over an hour so we ended up at Chill Winston. Not bad, pretty laid back some good brews too.
