50% fault, 'cause, all he did was press his FOB button, it were the actylene explosion that actually destroyed the car.
They will probably have to determine if the cylinders were stored correctly and if there was any negligence on the owners part. Gas cylinders just don't explode on their own.

One of my uni profs did research on improving the safety of the bulk rail carriers used for LNG, propane, etc. Some of his experiments involved taking tanks of various sizes, filled with various flammable gases / liquids, to a gravel pit along with a high speed camera and a large calibre rifle.
He and his grad students would then proceed to blow the tanks up in spectacular fashion. Using a car would have taken it to the next level!
