Google isn't being incredibly helpful… I'd really like to take a canoe trip from Valemount to Revelstoke on Kinbasket Lake. I've never been on it before though, so some advice if anybody has, would be greatly appreciated.

I'm an avid camper, solo camper, and minimalist camper so I'm not really after outdoor survival tips. Curious which shoreline would be best to follow, any interesting spots to stop and day trip around, what the currents (if any) are like, exceptional camping spots along the lake, and good fishing lures to bring… or any other random advice.

This will be the longest solo canoe trip I've ever done (3 days prior to this; though I have done a 4 week one with a few people in Wabakimi.

No help what so ever but that trip looks wicked fun.

Being an agoraphobic adrenaline junkie would be pretty convenient, because you could get your rush from just going to the store to get some milk instead of having to jump off a mountain or out of an airplane.

they also call me "balloon"

I'll take lots of pictures to bore friends, family, and NSMB with.

You will have to hike across the Mica Dam into Revelstoke Lake if you want to get to Revelstoke. Not sure how close you can get to the dam, but it will be a huge hill to haul your gear down.

can't get enough of that sodium benzoate…

Adam, I'll bet you 5 bucks I can get from Valemount to Hope faster than you, without speeding.

…and it will be an awesome trip! I'm estimating 2 weeks, and still tossed up between crossing to Revelstoke or heading down to Beaver…

pardon the garden path sentence. You can speed all you want, and when you get pulled over and I don't, I'll win…. and I have a 4 L bladder.

Back on topic… will the water be best in spring/fall or summer next year? Anybody that grew up in the Robson valley on here?

Negative, like every person I hated when I was younger, I concentrated on my career and didn't wind up with the time. Now I can afford to go abroad, so Costa Rica in December with Sri Lanka close on it's heels in April for the Sinhalese new years celebrations.

I just finished packing my camping gear on the enduro bike for an exploratory ride around Kinbasket. Should be fun.
