I remember getting a few of these in my Halloween bag when they first arrived on the scene:
candy from your childhood
Mojos,cracker jacks,pink elephant candy corn,bottletops,thrills gum ,sweet tarts,nerds
I could prolly go om for days…
Thrills!! Dish soap flavored gum! I love that stuff

I thought it was just me that thought they tasted and smelt like soap.
I loved those sort of toffee candies at Halloween. Made with molasses I think and we just called them Halloween candies. I haven't seen them in ages. Rockets are pretty good. I had a small collection of Pez dispensers when I was a kid. Those were stupid. When I was about 6 there was great little confectioners store by my elementary school. Rows of penny candy. Black balls were 5 for a penny. Dyed your tongue black for a hour or so. We would collect pop bottles near where the cabbies ditched on the boulevard. Two cents deposit would give us a little brown paper bag full of black balls, candy corn, tar babies (we had a very politically incorrect name for them).
The Bay had a killer candy counter then too. I could always extort my mother in some whinny way to get some if I got dragged out there with her to buy clothes.
Debate? Bikes are made for riding not pushing.

Tart 'n Tinys FTMFW.
Sadly, they have been discontinued…
If you've had these, just stare and them for five seconds and try not to start salivating!

Small blue candies sold in a little flat cylinder. They were a combination of sweet, sour, and blue food colouring.
I think they may have been called Screaming Saucers. They are also notable for giving you this:
Also blue or bluey green crap if you ate enough of them. The tongue in this picture is pretty mild, I remember blue teeth, blue tongue, and blue inside of mouth. My insides to this day are probably still dyed. I remember them from around '95ish.
can you still get this stuff? I love being a bastard at halloween; would be fun to hand it out.

Oh god. I remember those things, I was shitting dark blue for about a week after my first encounter with those when I was 7.

The store at the corner of Lynn valley road and Dempsey still sells the old candy

Goldmine gum, came in a little sack with a drawstring closure. I used the bags after to keep my marbles in.

Double Bubble, Big League Chew, and those delicious little red feet that were 5 cents each. Oh, and the jaw breakers that were so big you ran the risk of death had things gone horribly wrong.

It looked liked little nuggets. It was about as hard too.

Haha - yeah where are the giant jawbreakers?
