I looked at the adv models but they are more towards off road then onroad fun. a lot of extra weight and strength I won't need on my travels. TAKE the MST in LANGLEY its so so easy. the knowlage test was very easy you will be able to do it with basic common sense

hmmm, I thot you were scoping a sport bike for touring? I didn't think you would be that^^ smart but BMW are lots of $$$ so still suggest you look at the V-strom either the 650 or the 1000, they have a huge following for a good reason and they cost much less $$$

you can get a lower seat and/or drop the suspension for the short legs

I wanted a sporty tour setup and the Vstom is so big and bulky and ugly. Money is not a issue. I wanted Ducati and the service issues with them was a big red flag. I going to be doing day in day out riding non stop. BMW has great following. I don't plan on being around for when it needs major work done to the bike that will be someone elses issue or just give the bike away when done.

Have your raced it up Seymour?

Bowen Island would be a fun rip on that.

What a lame road for that bike. Ross, I highly recommend baker in a couple months once it's clean and the snow has melted. But be warned there's little room for error on some of those corners and they can bite!

My intruder isn't running but the old man picked up a cbr 600 and the weather has been conducive. Just need to redo my licence and I'd be down for some epics.

The road gets properly good from Pemberton to Lillooet! I have a 2011 gsxr 600 I'm selling. I got into track riding a couple years ago and the costs started piling up quickly, that and I had a good scare like I never have on the bike. Maple ridge/Mission back roads I clipped a deers head with my foot at 80kph in a straight line. Seconds before were some good sweepers exiting wide open in 3rd. If I met that same deer in one of those corners I'm not sure I'd be posting anymore… I had to accept I am probably not one to ride a sport bike on the street with my inability to say no to some good twisties.
