So finally got the size of the cyst 21x12x17cm! Holy damn. They were removed as 1 mass but that's insane they grew almost double since the biopsy (15days) it weighed 865grams. The tumors were the size of chestnuts nothing special.

Great to hear you are on the mend.

I bet you are glad they didn't show you that tumor for a pic. Holy shit. There's 2 lbs plus of weight loss right there.

Sounds like your platelets are low if you are bruising easily. Should get better over time.

Do you have any further treatment ahead? Or are you onto what one guy I know called the "5 year plan", which is appointments (3-6 months apart) and blood tests for 5 years. I think it's standard for all cancer patients. (I'm doing this)

Keep your head up man. Good job so far.

Ross, I've been following your thread and thinking about ya, wishing you well. You are an inspiration the way you have taken this on.

Keep on getting better!!

Pretty much 5 year plan lots of follow ups with a CT scan in next 3 months then another in 14 months etc. They want to see me after I am back to normal functions to then see if there was any longer lasting effects. I am going to see my nurses tomorrow bring them flowers and chocolate. They deserve every bit of support for what they do, being through the system. It is a eye opener. Now I will go take my first shower in 3 1/2 weeks excited to finally clean my parts properly haha

The CT is standard as well. They use that for the baseline.

I concur with your observations about the people that work in the health care system generally and the agency specifically. Amazing people doing tough work.

You never fully understand dignity and its value until you go through something like this.

Are you sure flowers and chocolates are enough after cleaning your dirty ass for 2 weeks? :0

Glad to read that your out of VGH and your folks are looking after you.
You were quiet for a few days, I thought the Hydromorph made you drop your phone in the shitter.
That sounds like a monster tumor, I'm sure that felt good to get out.

Looks like you have a lot of NSMB peeps sending healing vibes, it's good to see.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience, it's 99% of the reason to be on NSMB for me.
Stay strong, we will let Whistler Bike park know your gonna shred the 2016 trails.
