Good to see your putting some kms on the little Kawi.
The weather has been great.
If your going back up the canyon, the road from Spences Bridge to Merritt is pretty sweet.
Perfect for smaller bikes, lots of turns. The from Merritt take the old highway to Kamloops.
Good little overnighter.

Kawi ?
Not seeing Kawi …
Btw , there is a nice ADV package for that CB500x
And have you settled on that BMW ?
I know an older gentleman , a very experienced rider , who has put on some serious miles on his CB500x . Wouldn't keep up with the BMW flat out , but he says it his favorite bike ever .
Yes , I'm still pushing for the dualsport/ADV bike
Good luck on your journey Rossco.
Why slag free swag?
ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.
well the 500x was topping out at the same speed as my 321cc.. I think for the amount of highway we will be doing I need bigger 750 at least to keep the RPM down and fuel in the tank.
FJ-09 I like.. I sorta falling for Yamaha now. Price is really nice as well
after riding so much I gotta just get on some Demo days and get on some bikes. Multistra i saw in person and damnit I love it all over again.

Yeah Ross , I've always been a Yamaha guy , but when I finally scraped together the money for a bike , the DR 650 ticked more of the boxes I needed : cheap , simple , rugged , reliable , easy to work on , lots of aftermarket , cheap …
In fact , I had longed for a BMW with a boxer engine , but again , when I really examined how and where I wanted to ride I couldn't justify the purchase . That , and the fact I didn't want to be so reliant on BMW service .
Kawi? of course it's an R3. Rather embarrassing for a guy thats owned several yamaha's.
It's not even green ffs.
Hahah. Tomorrow is my birthday so going for a long ride I just have no idea what I want. I do not want it to be boring. BMW looks boring.. Yamaha has the triple cyl fj-09 or a r1s…..
Hahah this weekend going to castlegar for fun with my friend. Going to sort out what equipment we need . He is taking 4 months off to so this with me. Which is just unreal. He will document most of the trip and in the end use it at my funeral or celebration.

You need good rain gear - make that tops of your list.

If you get a jacket and pants like this, they are waterproof and have body armour in them.
You can save the leather chaps for when it dries out
What a day for a ride!
