Pretty standard responses from the conservatives here. Clutch their pearls and gin up some faux outrage that we’d suggest that the PCs don’t have the best interests of any other then the wealthy business class.

Name some policy agenda points the PCs have that would go towards solving the climate crisis that will disproportionately impact the youngest generation.

There are conservatives in here?

So today I went to an advanced voting poll and things moved super slow because of Covid protocol.

The turnout for this election will be interesting.

Advance voted this evening & it all went smooth. Steady amount of people coming in, but not too busy. I saw no delays happening.

Had an interesting conversation with my oldest, about politics.

Social media has him leaning towards conservative values, but he says we probably need what the green party wants, but they have no real plan on how to carry on the business of operating an economy.

Kid blew my mind....

That's the thing; it isn't the gübermints duty to carry on the economy. Which is also how we've gotten to where we are: printing money, corporate bailouts etc.  The "Free market" is supposed to operate an economy.

Remember when Trudeau promised us electoral reform

Yep, it was the last time we would ever vote using "the antiquated first-past-the-post" electoral system!

I thought I had decided who I was going to vote for. That was until I heard Andrew Weaver on the radio tonight talking about a revolution, it sounds like a whisper…

Whoops, wrong thread.

Seriously tho, he was critiquing the climate plans of the main parties and threw his weight behind the Liberals. I believe him when he says their plan is the best, but can’t trust Trudeau to actually implement it. That creates a problem on deciding who to vote for.

charlie brown, err jagmeet singh put on a poor performance the other day too when being interviewed on the cbc by rosemary barton. she took him to task over the trans mtn pipeline and he dodged it hard for almost two minutes. if he fails as a politician he has a good future as a football running back.

it's like nobody is ready to run this country. maybe it's time to start a new party, what should we call it? the disgruntled citizens coalition? people opposing oppositional politics?

Jagmeet thinks they have a shot at some seats in Alberta, so he dodges that question at all costs.  But then still wants to have it both ways and take (well deserved) shots at JT.

It's frustrating.

Why couldnt he just state the obvious that we are going to have to run with it for now while we transition to "greener technologies"?

If you cant man up and make the difficult statements, you have no chance for my vote. Same thing goes for his local mp.

However, i have enjoyed the agressive questioning during the english debate and this format, although the question posed to the bq during the debate was waaaaaay out of line and i loved Blanchet's response.

If a 15 yr old is out canvassing for his party of choice, you can bet your sweet ass he knows a lot more about politics than you give him credit for.

You really think the cpc candidate is gonna let some kid canvas for him and take the risk of him massively embarassing the party?

Are you fucking joking?

Just to remind you all, it's in the best interests of the two media outlets we have to push the two parties they, and their advertisers donate money to.

FPTP makes rich people richer, and none of you have $50,000,000 in liquid assets.  You think you're rich but your $5,000,000 in net worth is just middle fucking class.

Quit licking boots.

I'll give the kid the benefit of doubt.
