Right on. That's exactly how it should be. Gay civil unions, or the non-religious benefits of marriage (spousal benefits, pensions, yadda yadda) should be 100% equal, but if religions don't want to condone them, they don't need to. Personally, I didn't think it would pass, but I'm glad it did.
