Right on. That's exactly how it should be. Gay civil unions, or the non-religious benefits of marriage (spousal benefits, pensions, yadda yadda) should be 100% equal, but if religions don't want to condone them, they don't need to. Personally, I didn't think it would pass, but I'm glad it did.

Definitely, I cant believe our country is making such a big deal about it, it shouldnt even be an issue, theyre not hurting anyone by getting married. There is WAY more important things our government/the world could be concerning itself with.

Seriously though, I'm really glad to see it passed and the way it's drafted does a good job of protecting the rights of religious groups to refuse to perform gay marriages. A pretty nice piece of legislation.

a) the US is engaged in a racist war against muslims
b) we are running out of oil
c) the enviroment is fucked
d) the world isd too populated

and yet people are taking about if we should allow mr and mr smith
