10k miles, but yeah. That was for the early ones that still used the sporty powerplant. There's all the technology of a lawnmower in there

Whoops… I missed your previous post (#20) explaining the milage thing.

Roadstar Warrior? A bit bigger and less sporty than you were thinking but I could really see you on one of these!

Check out the muffler on that thing! More chrome than on an East Indain semi truck!

Buy a 1982 Virago 920

Because with some elbow grease it can look like this.

Find a cheap XLH 1200

And turn it into something like this…but murdered out in all flat black. Well all flat black aside from the Ohlins and forks.

Maybe a slightly less aggressive tire for daily street commuting.

That there is a sick build! I am so torn on what to do here. As much as I would love another build I need something turn key.

Buells sound a little risky. Ducati is awesome but a little high for the budget. A lot of Vmax are high dollar or high mileage. Supermoto looks like fun but underpowered without getting too exotic. Sportbikes are super reasonably priced but I have owned a few and don't really like the seating position. If I try to bring home another build it may result in my sleeping in the garage with it. The V-Stars are starting to look good….

Anyone know much about Kawi cruisers?

Those Yamaha 650's are pretty anemic (from what I'm told). Might be a fun scoot though.

Buy a nice clean Virago that doesn't need any work.

Tell T it's the plane jane "safe" decision bike.

Slowly pick up all the pieces needed for project to make it the bike you want.

Then one weekend lock yourself in the garage and go on a bender getting the project done all in one shot.

What could go wrong? :)

cool build!

Even if a guy were to black out the engine and exhaust that would almost be enough…. maybe even black header wrap. Love the look of header wrap on customs… might even wrap mine up this winter to see what it looks like.

I really like the follow through of the paint on the frame. Nice touch.

HP will emerge from the garage with a 17' long wizard stick, scratching his head wondering why he has so many extra bike parts.
