Mentioned up in the Gear subforum under Enduro or something…

Someone mentioned Specialized is akin to Pickleneck, er, Nickleback - everyone states they hate them and they suck, but somehow they manage to sell boatloads of albums/bikes etc.

So this led me to the idea (as I love music and "do" music as a sideline) the following excerpt (taken direct from my post in Gear/Enduro):
**_

And, while we're on it - as I am a music buff through and through - what bikes would represent the following:
justin bieber (lower case on purpose)?
Tool?
ACDC?
Aerosmith?
Stones?
Zappa? (that's a tough one)
Smashing Pumpkins?
QOTSA?
Radiohead?
Massive Attack?
Katy [fk me] Perry (good lil' christian girl and all)?
Nirvana?
Alice in Chains?

I like where this brand-to-band thread is going…_**

Hit it up. Let's see what people think - add the bike, and the band, let's have some fun (probably better suited to a workday as opposed to a Saturday but whatever, next week's fine too).

Off for a ride with attitude on my side!!

Knolly = Meshuggah
Norco = AC/DC (standard r'n'r no frills)
Trek = Sigur Ros or something along those lines
Giant = Aerosmith (big, well known, been around a while and have some catchy tunes)
Specialized = for road bikes anything ghey, had to, for MTBs? Top40 sh!t.
Rocky Mountain = AIC, Soundgarden, something from the grunge era in the PNW
DeVinci = jury's out…
Liv = Garbage (Shirley Manson's voice is mega hot!!)
Cannondale = does pride parade music count? Just asking…just asking….
Santa Cruz = Stones, been around forever, classic

Ah, I'm done for today.
Bring it on - one or many - interested.

Have a good day peeps!!

Giant = PSY - out of Asia, lots of sales, popular, seemingly everywhere at one time, but no snob appeal and ignored by aficionados.

My reply was "Zappa would be the dope-ass muni setup. Period."

Zappa - always did things differently, with more difficulty, and kicked ass doing it. Zappa would be a high-tech muni rig. With amazing feedback.

Devinci would be No Doubt. Gwen Stefani does some pretty watered down pop stuff that appeals to the masses but no one holds "Go ahead and break my heart" with Blake Shelton or being a judge on the Voice against her street credibility.
