I went with a Breville hemisphere control, it's excellent.

We don't know what our limits are, so to start something with the idea of being limited actually ends up limiting us.

1 Available at Parksville store for $359.93. 3@ Grandview/Boundry. 3@ Richmond.

Costco has the 7500 for $579 which is the cheapest I've seen those models for. Less than Amazon even. Unsure how my Amazon CC would play into that though.

Super total Nutrition Centre is on for $549 as well.

Why slag free swag?

ummm, as your doctor i recommend against riding with a scaphoid fracture.

Damn, that is a good deal.

Oh well, I just bought the pro 300 for $524* which lacks those extra three modes to the left on dial of the 500 but I like what I got. No more fucking around with 50-80 $ shit that fucks up within a year.

Almost bought a KitchenAid, liked the retro look but man the footprint of the thing was huge!

  • There were two more 300's in red at cook culture d/t....

Too funny. I used an asterisk and it comes up a bullet point.

The drive gear on the the bottom of the jug feels warm to touch. Warm enough to warm up the smoothie. oh oh.........

My Electrolux blender from Canadian Tire just died this morning after less than a year of intermittent use.  The blade seized and sheared between the blade and contact to the motor.  Little metal bits everywhere.

Watch out for sales from vitamix. I got a refurb for $400 (same 7 year warranty). Got the product and it looked new.

Was initially on the fence about it, but the smoothies, hummus and soups coming out of it are amazing

if you use a blender on a regular basis, the VM is a worthwhile investment. we bought ours about 7 years ago, and run full pitchers of frozen stuff though it nearly daily. it's a robust beast. there's a reason it's standard equipment in most pro kitchens.

So my blender budget wasn't in the 500+ range.  How long will my Ninja last if I use it a couple times a week?

It's going to work great with Tang and milk.
