Know it all too well

Just had to buy the short container for my wifes vita mix so it will fit under the counter, over $100 for a piece of plastic!

I say Ninja. Mine still works like a champ. Many accessories, including the short canister and single serve containers included.

Also, Punky and some others are too cool for blenders, but not cool enough to have something cooler to do than point out how uncool we are.

:)

"KitchenAid KSB560 at just over $100. Best bang for the buck easily.
And even a cheap blender can do a lot and last a long time if the user learns how to load it properly."

Is what I settled on Adam…2 yrs now. Heavy base, fits under cupboards. Mixes thoroughly.

We did try the Ninja for a couple days…works fine and probably the same as the KAid…but seemed unnecessary to have to deal with removable gimmicky blades

i went with costco blendtec.

We tried that too…kicked ass. Definitely upped the smoothness factor. I just couldn't justify the extra $250 sittin' on the counter…lol

Looking to add a lil more mass and volume to my gut this winter.

Is Amazon.ca or Costco the better place to pick up a VitaMix? (I'm thinking Amazon.ca since I have their Credit Card)

Check these guys too:

http://www.williamsfoodequipment.com/

You get a discount for the first purchase, and seems that if you visit the site enough a robot or a human-robot hybrid will offer you a Vitamix coupon. At the very least use the chat feature and ask if they'll give you a further discount.

Have bought a few things from Williams (Vitamix included) and no problems whatsoever. They're located in Windsor/Sarnia area.
