2020-2030 rethink, eh?  Sounds grand!

I was on the Sunstang Solar car (kind of, not really) and the Saturn Hybrid university design projects.

In 1992.

That's pretty damn cool, imo. The ReThink video brings up the point that solar/wind/battery storage combination has now reached the point where they are the cheapest form of energy available, so there are no barriers to a bigger rollout than the resistance by entrenched interests.

I was on the mini-Indy project for a year, spent a lot of time machining suspension parts in the student shops!

By 1992, I already had my P.Eng., young whippersnapper.

I only skimmed the video and I will re-watch when I have the time but I see it hits a key point that always drives me nuts from the neigh Sayers.  Disruptions do not follow a straight line.  People use the OPEC report on the future of oil and gas as though it's gospel and not filled with O&G rainbows and leprechauns.

My hope is that Biden's spending spree across the border will lead to a New Deal style green energy push around the world and we will see change much faster than anyone thought possible.  There will be a lot of disruptions in the next 20 years.

Lol to think this video was made 7 years ago

I didn't want to like dogecoin at first but it's grown on me. The way it keeps defying the odds and how the more people write it off the higher it climbs. Still holding my 1000 coins. 1000% return so far 🤣🤣🤣

LOL. Fucking Doge. All I had to do was flip a switch and I was mining when it first was developed.  It was made specifically to use typical video cards.  My buddy set the whole thing up when he came over, but really... Doge? Seemed dumb then and still kinda does now.

This is not financial advice but if anyone's interested in trying to make some quick cash off a shitcoin this one is new and if it's gonna pump it hasn't happened yet. Nothing better or worse about this one compared to any of the others that have 100x in the last couple of months. Disclaimer: It's also just as good/bad as all the ones that didn't pump too.

“Rewards are distributed to holders automatically and in real-time. With every transaction (buy or sell), 2% of the transaction value is distributed to holders. “

You do know what that’s called, right?

I did check out the site, as I am a little crypto curious.

Oh I get it. I know what these shitcoins really are. BTW since I shared their site price has gone up 250%. I bought a trillion HOKK 24 hours after it went live. Next tuesday it starts trading on it's first exchange. The 2% is actually 1% divided and 1% burnt to add a deflationary value.

Seems the easiest way to make money in 2021 is to just be a fucking idiot.

I honestly like your slow and steady approach a lot better I just happen to fall into that frustrating economic zone where I have just barely not enough money to buy property. Makes riskier investments more appealing.

Oh I get it.

Do you?

A Ponzi scheme is an investment scam that involves the
payment of purported returns to existing investors from
funds contributed by new investors. Ponzi scheme
organizers often solicit new investors by promising to
invest funds in opportunities claimed to generate high
returns with little or no risk. In many Ponzi schemes,
rather than engaging in any legitimate investment
activity, the fraudulent actors focus on attracting new
money to make promised payments to earlier investors
as well as to divert some of these “invested” funds for
personal use. the seC investigates and prosecutes many
Ponzi scheme cases each year to prevent new victims
from being harmed and to maximize recovery of assets
to investors.

^^ that is financial advice.

I’m out if SNL skits cause portfolio losses (or gains for that matter)

a " currency " loses 30% during a TV show and you still seriously want to call it a currency ?

During that time my Canadian currency did absolutely nothing as far as I can tell

pretty fucking boring

It’s not a currency.   The last thing you want in a currency is wild volatility.   It’s always behaved like a speculative investment vehicle.
