There should be a law about laws being passed in a month. Its amazing what can happen between different agendas. Even if the public was consulted, would they care or listen? Obviously not.

Anyone that either voted for Clark, or abstained from voting can give themselves a big pat on the back for this.

That definitely is a 'liberal' party aint it.

Wow. This just made me sick to my stomach and incredibly upset.
yeah bro!!
Kinda defeats the purpose of having a park… Funny they can do this for cash but smoking dope is still illegal.
Ha Ha! Made you look.
BC Parks no longer has the moral authority to prevent me from riding my bike in parks where they've banned it with no sound or science based reasoning.
At least it's a bill that almost everyone can agree on (being a fucking stupid idea).
It did make me think about how the government's role is supposed to be doing what what is in the best interest of the country and what the general populace wants. This is neither, not by a long shot. So how do these things happen?
The BC Liberal party is a right wing party, despite the fact it shouldn't be. Meanwhile the Cons have slid right off the left-right scale, straight into insanity. I wish more people realized this when voting.
if you aren't a large multi-national resource extraction company, you don't matter.
Mountain bike protest in every bc park this summer. Multiple rides in garibaldi and Alice lake. Screw bc parks after this stupid bill passing. Maybe the user fees will disappear now that big money is involved.

I really, really, wish I could agree. You know what scares me though? I think there are enough (maybe not a majority, but enough) people out there who never leave the city, who have no particular attachment to our parks, and whose pay cheques are directly or indirectly supported by continued "development" of our province, to be in support of this. I fear there are enough of those people who are either indifferent or slightly supportive of things like Bill 4 because they see it as improving the economy, their chances of maintaining employment, and really, who cares if they cut down a few trees hundreds of kilometers from where I live? In their minds, the only people opposed to this type of thing are dirty, socialist, tree-hugging hippies.
I really hope I'm wrong and we start to see more backlash and less support for the political parties that operate this way.
Way back from the old school days of NSMB…
[INDENT]You guys are turning into Alberta now, our provincial parks are a joke, we already have logging and oil and gas development in our parks. Dollar signs.

Although I make most of my money in the resource bidness,i can't get behind this at all. Gonna be a hard day when I refuse a job because it's in a park.
Hey,while we're at it,how about the redesignation of a large part of the ALR to allow "other uses" released on the same day?
Who needs food anyways?
