The parking lot patio is Covid temporary. Get out there while its sunny and not full of cars.

I suspect a more permanent patio will follow. Who doesn't love a patio?!

I've not been to the Bridge for a while (aren't they moving to Lonsdale area?).

They've got a restaurant called "BridgedDeck" on Lonsdale now. It was literally open for less than a week before everything shutdown, but it's open again.

The brewery is still in the same place.

Good thread! 👍🍺

Passed North Point on 1st yesterday and they have a street patio too. Didn't see any bike racks. Anyone tried them?

I tried them once - coincidentally it happened to be their opening night but COVID happened shortly afterwards and I've not been back.

They didn't have a patio when I went.

I generally drink Pale Ale and I seem to remember it being nice but will need to go back soon to confirm 😉

If your bike isn't locked make damn sure it's in plain view and you can get to it quick. Bike thieves can be really brave. Caught a guy creeping the bikes at bridge last year. He was hiding behind my car trying to figure out how to get a bike off. They were locked and my car was four spots down from the front door....Dirtbag

what is " bike friendly " some bike racks or events or ?

BV brewery has a "peak to pint" every year , mass start at the top of HBM ending at the brewery where you chug a beer still sitting on the bike

The fastest DH rider in town is not old enough to drink beer so they buy him some root beers,

if your karma is bad the train arrives and blocks  the crossing while the people you raced down the hill catch up ... happened last year to me.

Wildeye's patio is massive, packed last night. The bike rack was moved to the edge of the patio so the plainview factor isn't in effect as much as before. So ya, lock your bike.

To me bike friendly means a visible & secure location to lock your ride while sitting for an hour or two.

A brewery without windows in a sketchy neighbourhood next to the skytrain and only a chainlink fence to lock to does not qualify.   A place so packed you must sit at the back by the bathrooms with a crowd between you and $2k of carbon does not qualify.

Yes, I know.  N+1=beer bike.

Agreed...

Nothing to do with bike advocacy or events in this context though anything like that is a positive, obviously...

If you don't mind going across the bridge, there a brewery besides Cove Bikes and one behind the Canadian Tire.  Also Deep Cove brewery kinda across from Arcteryx.
