the smalls, some unheated tin barn on the rez near Merit in late november. maybe in 95 or 96.
runner up from around the same time would be a bunch of draft dodgers at a havest party in you-dont-need-to-know.
Just a speculative fiction. No cause for alarm.
Depeche Mode @ GM Place
Tom Petty at Oregon State University was good. but I'm a pretty big jazz fan, and nothing can beat Wynton Marsallis and his band. it was sweet.
Daniel Vore
Mike Watt and Thrush Hermit at the Starfish Room
One of the only ones i've seen was Metallica and Godsmack in 2004 (I think) in Vancouver. The tickets and hotel were free
Hug a logger, you'll never go back to trees

Dandy Warhols at the Commodore perhaps… I was really high though and another board member said it was shitty if I remember correctly… but it was the trippiest thing ive ever seen Ill tell ya that.
Best performer though, probably Matt Mays doing Angels Make Contact in the basement in victoria known as Legends nightclub. I have never seen ANYONE come remotely close to what he was able to do there in that shitty venue… incredible performer.
You kids.
I like music, and I'm old. And I travel for work too. So me, and peeps like Phatphurknee and Patrolskid) have had the good fortune to be into bands that no one was into, and saw some famous shit before It Was.

I would love to have been at the Rainbow in London, for the gig that was recorded for The Wailers Live.
I would like to have seen the Sex Pistols play in Texas.
Best Sound was Roger Waters at the Expo Theatre, will take a long time to figure out best show though
Was that around 94? If so, PBS recently aired one of that tour's shows, and it was amazing.
I'd have to list as a couple:
The Kinks
Paul Revere and the Raiders
Doobie Brothers
Smaller shows:
Stonebolt at The Cave
Barney Bentall at the Town Pump
Headpins at The Armory
Oh, and another great concert that I have to list because I know GW will appreciate it:
