Yah, I was shocked to read it. I figured she was the best candidate to lead Pakistan out of the next election (assuming Musharraf doesn't rig it).

This is going to really affect the governmental process in Pakistan. It proves that there is no control in that country and that is a very scary thing.

I agree with KenN…

Oh my….not that she was a trusty and truly democratic candidate…..but she was definitely better than Musharaf.

Dan, Pakistan has been a country with not that much control and all that for a loong time. Just remember all the news about the various uprisings of Taliban-supporting students.

And I'm gonna bowl me a perfect game.
Well I'm gonna cut off my leg down in Florida, child.
And I'm gonna dance one-legged off in the rain.

Just watched this on the news. Insane and such a waste of a life.

It proves that there IS control on the governmental process in Pakistan.
It's who controls it that is the question you should be asking.

I think the bigger tragedy is the 140 people killed on the last attempt on her life during her parade and the who knows how many (they said 15 killed, but it seems like many more if you see the photographs) killed on the current attempt on her life. Why was she holding parades and rallies when there were so many attempts on her life and her supporters? It sucks that she is dead but you have got to remember she and her husband made $1.5 billion through supposed criminal enterprises and huge payoffs.

its pretty common knowledge that her husband extorted all buisness in pakistan under her rule for billions of dollars. he was known as mr 5 percent as thats what his take was on all goverment biz.
