19 casks from breweries east of main, or over a river, and probably the first taste of Port Moody's 3rd brewery.

I did a road ride from North Van to Sechelt on Thursday, and killed some time at Persephone Brewing before catching the ferry back to Horseshoe Bay. They've got a great open air tasting room, nice ambience with hops growing in a field right next to the brewery, and, most importantly, tasty beers. Well worth checking out if you're passing by.
I tried Bridge's Bourbon [HTML_REMOVED] Blood Orange Wheat Ale the other day. I much preferred the non-bourbon version that they had at the Horseshoe Bay Beer Festival. Too much bourbon for my liking.

My brother in law is attempting to live the dream after home brewing for the last 10 years by moving back to the Sea to Sky and starting his own craft beer biz.
I told him I would try to spread the word on his Kickstarter campaign, even though it is likely you are all going to tell me to Eff Off.
Any good ideas of where he can get some more publicity would be good too.
Thanks
Sours in cans.
Grapefruit Sculpin at Trader Joe's..

Nice! I snuck out of work and snagged half a case of Sartori at Granville St. It's better than last year but not as good as 2011 / 2012 (or at least my memory of those years). Have heard that Wolf Vine is supposed to be vastly improved this year.
while the last sartori i had was certainly good, it wasn't worth the feeding frenzy, imo. granted, there's so much good stuff available these days, there's no need to lament missing out on the occasional limited release.
popped into storm for a flanders this w/e, and also picked up a fun "root of all evil" rootbeer stout (with sarsparilla [HTML_REMOVED] other rooty things). james is a treasure, i tell you. love that place. the brainstorms are brilliant. the spicy thai is ridiculous, but rad.
I've really liked Bridge's Dark Rye Sour Saison. I thought it might be a train wreck of styles, but it's really good.
