The russell hop therapy is hitting the spot. The double ipa, not the cans.

I had a Guinness on New Year's Eve. It was pretty good.

Made it to Strange Fellows on Saturday; http://strangefellowsbrewing.com/
Large tasting room, friendly staff, 8-9 beers on tap. I was impressed with the Bier de Guard and their CDA.

Looking forward to a weekend in Malmedy, Belgium for some alone-time with my better half. Belgium beer. Sweet. If the weather permits I take some pics of the local bike park which hosted one stop of The Fest Series last year. More or less just up the street from the hotel. Maybe not, probably not. Just looking forward to lots of local beer.

Bière de Guarde

My beer is being picked up tomorrow. Should be a keg at the Pumphouse tomorrow, and hopefully at the Central City Cask fest, if my convo with Gary comes to fruition.

Maybe as part of the Elysian tap takeover at St. Augustine's.

Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!

Fitz pub in Whistler has had some bangers on the board lately
Persephone Double IPA - solid hop bomb maybe a little boozy for me

Bomber Old Fat Heater Winter Ale - Really liked this, much more like an american winter ale (Jubelale,Sleighr etc) than the granville choc bomb..

Hoyne dark matter - most people know this by now.

Also had a really good stout but i cannot recall its name. Very chocolate/coffee bitter without the sweetness.

Connor, I was thinking about you when I was talking with Jeremy the brewer about their hardware and process (yes, with the beard and the red cheeks)

Pretty bummed by this news. I’m a long time Elysian drinker/supporter. Can you call yourself a “craft brewery” if you’re owned by Anheuser-Busch? AB seems pretty intent on entering the "craft" market…

These massive multinationals can't compete and are forced to keep buying companies. The good news is that craft beer doesn't have a massive barrier to entry. I wouldn't be surprised if the principles of Eleysian start up a new one in a few years time.

And no doubt AB pays top dollar for their executives so I'm sure they won't fuck up Eleysians product.
