Chup, you're drinking it the day? Advent calendars are meant to be opened first thing in the morning.

Day 9: Yup, lots of hops in this one. Think I'd prefer it with food.

Day 10: Another beer I've had previously. A decent ale, but not particularly memorable.

If it hasn't been mentioned, Moon brewery (Vic) has a Saison that may very well be the best Saison brewed in Canada

Not in bottles though; look for it on tap.

I do have my commute on the sea to sky in the morning. I usually drink coffee or a smoothie, but morning beer might be a good way to start the day.

Picked up a few of the Persephone Barleywine that hit shelves this week, looking forward to cracking one open to see how it is fresh. Being that they are consistently among the best beers BC produces, I have high hopes. Really hoping it's a UK recipe.

Brassneck DIXmas IPA is good but not as good as last year. Worth a growler, though.

Drank some nice beers last night - 2013 Bourbon County Barleywine, 2013 Java Eclipse, 2014 Hill Farmstead Sue, 2014 Hill Farmstead Peleg, and others. Was a very good time. Like all BCB variants, the BCBBW was crazy sweet but crazy boozy, and it just worked like a charm.

I would be very surprised if it beats out Four Winds saison brett or sovereign saison! But if you're talking standard, non-BA and non-soured saison, then the competition reduces

My thoughts exactly!

Also, there are some killer saisons out of Quebec. That claim just can't hold water I'm afraid.

In a bottle or at a place?

I've had it at a few places and it was really good. Better than last year.

In a bottle at a place. Liquor store has free beer tasting once a month.

Made it to Postmark Brewing yesterday. I was underwhelmed. The building is great, the beer wasn't bad but nothing stood out as great.

I don't normally buy variety packs but there's nothing I dislike in the Stanley Park winter edition.

The winter ale is good? I wish Tofino did a variety pack. Omg imagine bomber 12 packs. Fuck ya I'm a genius
