Whistler Brewing Co's Valley Trail Chestnut Ale is amazing. The guy that suggested it to me says they've produced it the last 3 seasons but this year is their best batch by far - I have to say it is amazing.

Rogue on Broadway has it on tap, if you are in to that sort of thing.

I'll post up the last 2 days of the Phillips case when I get home.

One was an average IPA and the other was a ginger beer.
Of the 4 days so far, I'd buy the first one, I'd drink the next too, and likely only have the ginger beer if I was having sushi.

I think the amenisiac is today. I know this because I'm on day 9.

I'm not a huge fan of the crazy over hopped beers some breweries are making now but this one is decent.

Yikes, what a tart mouth cringe after my homebrew fresh hopped centennial blonde.

Best before 2020. Maybe I should have saved it a couple years.

In missing out on the advent calendar this week but am making up for it.

Bit if a hotel room beer glass fail but what a sick new 32 oz growler!

LOL - was at a friend's house last night and he had saved that one because he was warned of its awfulness. We opened it, I can attest to its terribleness.

6: I like it, best of the case so far. Sad to read that they don't normally make this beer. I wonder if Phillips Brewing Company takes requests?

7: This is the first in the case that we've bought before, maybe once or twice a year. It is decent although not that memorable.

8: I like it, it isn't as heavy as it looks. Reminds me of the Nelson Brewing Company After Dark.

Man.. so far this P49/Central City advent calendar is a massive disappointment. 4/5 days and it's all beers you can buy in variety or 6 packs for significantly less.

I have this one too and most of the beer has been decent but not too many of their specialty beers… yet. I am holding on to that hope.

I picked up a Red Racer Gingerhead Gingerbread stout the other day and that was tasty even though I am not a big fan of gingerbread.

I am thinking that drinking beer every day before Christmas is probably not the best weight loss plan. I will have consumed enough calories by the end of the month to carry me through to Easter.
