Went to a brew pub in San Jose Del Cabo in April. Baja Brewing. Definetly needed some work.. Their feature beer was a Barleywine, in April, In Mexico… Yeesh.

Yeah I drank it.

Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!

You know your a beer fan(geek) when, and a bit of a stunt man as well…

No offence at geek. Im a beer geek. Im no expert, like variety, follow the trends but no blindly, and am not a beer snob. I will still kill a pilsner after a ride.

Any one check out Steel Toad yet?

Been doing well at beer sampling. Went to the steel toad on opening weekend where they were giving their beer away due to a problem with the license. It was ok the saison and porter were the best. Work near yellowdog and moody ales. The yd smoked porter is excellent. As is the brown ale at moody ales and finally i called into Powell st brewing sour saison pretty good but lacking something
I enjoyed 95 pounds of wet hopped goodness it was a nice beer not remarkable just good. Next stop is dageraad in burnaby which is on the way home from work

I stopped in to Dageraad on Saturday after a lovely sunny climb/descent of SFU. Their new tasting room is open but it's pinner-small. Seating for 4-5 and same for standing room. Ben was behind the counter which is always a treat.

The new session beer is excellent. A good friend designed the tasting room - came into the plan after the fact so they didn't have much room to work with.

Green leaf in Lonsdale Quay has a Animal Farm IPA that is brewed with a mix of Belgian yeast. For an IPA it is not over hopped! The yeast brings out some great malty estery flavors.
If you like like complex malty flavors with a good balance of hops give this one a try.

common sense…..Whats common about sense?!

Makes sense. It's interesting to see the different ways that some local brewers are approaching the market, for example;
S[HTML_REMOVED]O - big tasting room opened right away, otherwise keg sales.
Dageraad - first bottles, then kegs, small tasting room.
4 Winds - bottles/kegs and now an expanded tasting room.
