Spirits Of Seymour has a few left in the cooler, Hoyne Wolf Vine as well. The Gull got some the other day, but I don't know if they have any left.

Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!

I think I saw $8.30 or $8.40 on the register at Seymour.

gulls are all reserved in the back room. except for 3.

Not bad. I can do better next year once my Centennial vine has second growth.

I'm just going to come right out and say it: Naughty Hildegard [HTML_REMOVED] Sartori this year.

Sartori's good, but just a tad too delicate / reserved. Hilde is brilliant, so dank and rich.

Anyone else get as carried away with the last Cantillon shipment? It's getting tough to get all of a sudden, so I contributed to the problem by ensuring I have my supply for the year. This time last year I could go buy another bottle in a few weeks if I wanted, but those days appear to be over.

I suggest you let it sit for a week or two and give it another try, assuming you bought another. I know this goes against popular opinion being that most want to consume it as close to the bottle date as possible but I enjoyed my bottles that sat of a while last year more than the first one I cracked on delivery day. Was a total fluke but I ended letting 3 bottles sit for a couple weeks as I was on the verge of running a marathon and took a self imposed beer hiatus. Something changed ( for the better) during that time. I may be completely out to lunch but it cannot hurt to try.

You're likely right ratchet. Too fresh beer can be young. I've got one more bottle I'll put away for 2 weeks. But no longer than that!

.

I don't think you can compare Sartori to Hildegard. They are trying to do totally different things.
Having said that, i LOVE Hilde.

Sartori was at first unimpressive to me, but after a few tries i kinda love the subtlety of it. Pretty rare in our hop-heavy days!

although the "just grab on you havent had before" surprise of todays haul was salt spring's heather ale.

I'm drinking my first glass of my own brewed version of a Heather Ale. Quite good actually - very different than anything brewed with hops, subtley flowery with some honey.

argh, I know!!! I come back home in a week and missed wet hop releases and the 'LOON's. Well back to work with only shit beer at the end of the day. Ugh, and this is the best choice.

'Cause you are such a nice guy, I'll bring you my extra Sartori if you show up at the Poco race on Saturday.
