Twenty Pounder is awesome. I suggest grabbing a Persephone Double IPA if you see it, it's similar with 20lb'r (though not quite as sweet) but that much better. Might be the best IPA to come out of BC yet.

I just grabbed some of the dipa from the brewery. impressive stuff for sure; one of the best local hop bombs I've had for a while.

I bought another today so I can see if I feel the same way. For the price I'd go Twenty Pounder though - $5 cheaper. Also, Brassneck's One Trick Pony is a pretty darn good IPA also.

Tried it again last night and this batch seems to be significantly better than I remember of the first batch. It's a damn fine beer.

Any Surrey folk know any local places that carry the Persephone? I am curious.

Cant speak for Surrey but Persephone is almost every where in Van now, so it wont be long before it is coming your way.

WTF, Over?

The central city liquor store surely has it.

Does anyone know of a brewery or liquor store preferably off the trans-can from Hope to Tsawwassen ferries that would be able to hook up a decent keg (19L or half) on super short notice?

Old Yale in Chilli has nothing, Dead Frog only has 58L.. Passing through tomorrow with fingers crossed

Sour fans might want to get over to Brassneck in the next few days:

New beer! Tasting Room only, no fills. Changeling 6%. Nano Batch Sour Cherry brewed with Montmorency cherries.

I picked up a twenty pounder, persephone DIPA last night. Local shop also had some Evil Twin Femme Fatale Brett. I'm excited to have that one again. Even funnier, the Evil Twin stuff was right next to the Mikkeller. I guess the store manager has a sense of humour.

They should put a broken Mikkeller and broken Evil Twin bottle beside each other on the floor and rope it off :D

Another batch of Four Winds Juxtapose is coming in a couple weeks, which I'm very glad for - I'll pick up a few bottles this time around. I ran over to Brassneck as soon as I heard about the sour cherry, and it's really good. If you like a crisp sour I'd try to venture by sometime today (will be gone quickly, I'm sure).

Legendary. Went to the liquor store and bought way too many singles and then the brewery to get a keg of red racer white ale within 15 minutes of calling. Thanks a lot!

16th St Liquor haul today - man, I can't believe the gems I can find there. Lots of stuff that's been sold out elsewhere a good while.
