Went to Wildebeest last night. That place has a great beer selection. Bunch of great sours including the Four Winds Nectar (which was awesome, do those guys make a bad beer?).

Anybody jumped on these yet?

A few have made their way across the boarder, but at 33.00 a bottle I want to make sure I'm pulling the trigger on a solid beer. The Sahati sounds enticing.

Beer glasses

Connor got me a pair of the IPA glasses (on the left) and they are really awesome.
If you haven't tried using different glasses for different beer styles, I recommend it, the difference is sometimes substantial

yeah they sell them at the bay, I'd grab a set of those stout ones too. Pretty small investment.

Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!

The IPA ones are on sale at The Bay right now, $12/pair. There's also a set of four different glasses, including the IPA, for $36.

It really can be! When a bunch of us sat down and had Utopias I had it out of a couple different glasses (teku, brandy, glencairn) and it smelled significantly different out of each glass and therefore the taste was impacted to. Not in a "look how I can tell the difference between blackberry and raspberry notes in this barleywine" kind of chest-pounding either, it really was different

Went to Fest-of-Ale in Penticton yesterday. Was stoked to see Bomber, Four Winds, and others there but as I figured, very few interesting / unique beers there. I went because my brother wanted to go, but I'm going to try to not go again.

Fill those IPA glasses with some of this. I'm not a fan of most of Stone's IPAs. Enjoy-By is nice and smooth, but they have hit a home run with similar taste in Go-To at 4.5%. Comes in six packs not 22's

Super stoked to see 20 pounders back on the shelf. Anyone know if we might see a return of Naughty Helga? If so, look out cause I will be stocking up.

Twenty Pounder is awesome. I suggest grabbing a Persephone Double IPA if you see it, it's similar with 20lb'r (though not quite as sweet) but that much better. Might be the best IPA to come out of BC yet.

New batch must be better. It was good but I don't remember having that reaction.

I bought another today so I can see if I feel the same way. For the price I'd go Twenty Pounder though - $5 cheaper. Also, Brassneck's One Trick Pony is a pretty darn good IPA also.

Amnesiac is too sweet for my taste. Hop therapy and new belgium rampant is hitting the spot though. Where is the Persephone sold?
