Did you notice if the flavor was also sweeter?
N2 hasn't been released yet. Barley Mowat says "Imminent".
I don't know if it is just a nitro version of Ugly Sweater or a slightly different milk stout.

I am not sure the side bar is up to date. I know for sure that this year's Biere D'Hiver is out, I had a bottle on the weekend. I know N2 is available on draft for sure and I thought they had bottles at the brewery (though I havent been able to confirm that).
Deep Cove's nitro Stout is coming out next week too.

That is going to be handy, can't wait!
Looks like the P49 shipped to stores today.

I had a Ugly Sweater on a nitro tap last year, and did not like it. After trying it in the 6'r I really did like it.
So, nitrogen will make it frothier? Bigger head? Is that what is in widgets in Guinness and Kilkenny?
WTF, Over?

Yep, Nitrogen is what is in the widgets. Nitrogen has smaller bubbles and can change the taste as compared to co2.
I can't explain in words, but it seems more tart and the nitrogen more perceived sweetness of the malts.
^^^^ Ok thanks. It makes sense that different gasses would create different taste compounds. Also the smaller size of the two gasses would create a different "texture" with the beers as well. Cool i cant wait to try it. i do like the ugly sweater.

You guys on untappd?
PS Iniquity is awesome.
Is there a Vancouver in Taiwan?! I had no idea!!

Good Beer Gas: Nitro Beers Explained
It seems that getting nitro into bottled beer (as opposed to the cans with widgets) was only figured out in the last couple of years.
I saw on Twitter that Tap [HTML_REMOVED] Barrel has a nitro tap now and will be rotating various brews on it. Currently Ugly Sweater.
Snowcase update, days 11, 12 [HTML_REMOVED] 13:
I liked the dunkel, and not just because of the name and label
Hop Circle I've had before, and is one of my go to IPAs
The Trainwreck I'll be drinking later this evening, after the kids are in bed. I've never tried a barley wine before, so it'll be a new taste for me.

I am impressed they put that in there. Cracked my 2012 Trainwreck last week and it is drinking pretty well right now.
Just picked up the P49 nitro milk stout and enjoying one right now. It's smooooth. So happy that the winter beer season is upon us.
Way back from the old school days of NSMB…
Brewery Creek has Sierra Nevada Celebration (fresh hopped IPA) which is fantastic, that 6-pack is disappearing quick from my fridge.
